EXPEDITION OVERVIEW

What is Coast Around Tasmania?

A Jetski trip around Tasmania started as an idea between two friends, Adam Benz & Shane Ridley, who wanted to go on an epic adventure before they turned 40.

Now over 6 years in the planning, and with Shane’s son Josh on the journey, Coast Around Tasmania aims to showcase the spectacular Tasmanian coastline, capture all the trials & tribulations an expedition of this magnitude will offer.

Starting in March 2025 with the voyage from Queensland, the team be driving to Melbourne to catch the Spirit of Tasmania to Devonport with Jetskis in tow.  They’ll then travel to Hobart which will be the start/finish point for the expedition.

Making their way anticlockwise, the team will ride an average of 170km per day for 12-days (not including weather lay-days) for a total of 1500km, covering some of the most spectacular coastlines Australia has to offer. Each evening the riders will be pulling into port to rest and recharge for the day ahead with the help of the road support team.

Leaving Triabunna, we'll head up the East Coast around the Freycinet Peninsular and into Wineglass Bay on the way to St Helens

It's a relatively short run along some of the most breathtaking coastline Tasmania has to offer before finding safe harbour in St Helens

Day 5 - St Helens to Launceston

Coasting past the spectacular Bay of Fires, the team will turn around the north-east cape and along to Launceston for the night

Things get real after the Stanley Nut as we wheel around the Northwest Cape and start to make our way down the West Coast
Day 6 - Arthur River to Strahan

Day 9 - Arthur River to Strahan

From the Edge Of The World into Hells Gates - as the names suggest this will be one of the more challenging legs of the trip

Day 10 - Strahan to Port Davey

This is the first of a 2-leg stretch into the remote Southwest coast where there's no road support for the team - enough fuel is crucial

Day 11 - Port Davey to Southport

After roughing it in the wilderness, we'll head around the South East Cape (southernmost point) before reaching the evening's port
Day 9 - Southport to Hobart

Day 12 - Southport to Hobart

The home stretch via Bruny Island, through the Derwent River mouth and into Constitution Dock where we'll no doubt celebrate!

Our Anthem

Every good adventure needs a theme song to go along with it, so here's ours!  We're probably biased, but we reckon it's awesome.  Take a listen for yourself...
